Expansion of unicorns
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
The game's genre is a 2D real-time strategy with a classic "buildings/units/resources" system. The player has access to unicorns, which can be teleported from a portal using magic. The main feature of the game is that new unicorns have no actions other than moving, and they need to research various spells to perform tasks (harvesting resources, attacking, and healing). Each unicorn can have multiple specializations, and they can also level up their existing specializations. Upgrades for unicorns, as well as useful mining and defense machines, can be ordered from buildings that are also teleported from the portal. The portal itself can be upgraded to increase the number of available unicorns and speed up their teleporting.
In the current version, there is a tutorial scenario and 4 story-related mini-campaign maps. The campaign supports 3 difficulty levels. The number of enemies, task requirements, and even the tasks themselves can vary depending on the difficulty level.
The full version of the game is under development, it will include:
- A campaign with 20+ missions, including secret and optional
- Complex game store and lore of the Expansion world
- New buildings and improvements in them
- Mechanics of equipment and amulets for unicorns
- Checkpoints in missions
- Player achievement system
